Lonely stranger:
Don’t tell me you cannot see
the icy breath of alienation
the visions of people
walking in a circle
over and over
not talking
not touching
wanton, restless spirits
of crying
joined by loss
loss of humanity
loss of sanity
cold, stone cold
those people-
visions of someone else’s hate
who quietly faced me
shut the window
and left.
